Supplemental instructor resources, including PowerPoint lecture slides, instructor guides, and other teaching materials, are managed and distributed by the textbook publisher.
VitalSource does not directly provide or manage these supplemental materials.
How to Request Supplemental Instructor Resources
If you need additional resources for a textbook, you will need to contact the publisher directly.
Step 1: Identify the textbook publisher
You can typically find the publisher’s name in:
- The textbook’s details in Bookshelf.
- The textbook’s copyright or publication information.
- Your course materials or textbook information.
Step 2: Visit the publisher’s website
Once you have identified the publisher, visit their official website.
Look for sections such as:
- Instructor Resources
- Educator Support
- Teaching Resources
- Contact Us
Depending on the publisher, you may need to sign in or contact a publisher representative to request access to supplemental materials.
Step 3: Contact your publisher representative
If you have an existing relationship with a publisher representative, you can contact them directly to request supplemental resources.
The publisher will determine which resources are available for your textbook and how you can access them.
Already Requested Supplemental Materials?
If you have already submitted a request for supplemental resources and are waiting for an update, please contact the publisher representative or publisher support team that originally received your request.
Because these materials are managed outside the VitalSource platform, the publisher is responsible for providing updates regarding their availability and the status of your request.
